Department of Digital Communication and Networking

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in 2011 and has grown over the years in terms of stature and infrastructure. The department has one post graduate program, that is Digital Communication & networking.

The M. Tech. programme in Digital Communication and Networking is aimed to develop communication engineers to meet the increasing demand of manpower in the field of communication technology. The present day concept of 'Global Village' has increased the importance of digitization of information and its transmission with minimum delay. High speed, minimum power dissipation are the key words for newer technologies.

This program is aimed to provide the students with a wide variety of opportunities, both in the Industry as well as in the R & D fields. The curriculum is designed to make the students excel in areas of Advanced modulation techniques, Error control, Networking, Satellite Communications, Mobile and Wireless Communications, Microwave and Antenna designs. To build on these strong base students can specialize by choosing electives like Advanced Digital Signal processing, Image processing, Data Compression, Radar Systems, Optical Communications & Networking, Large Area & Flexible Electronics. Students also get an opportunity to do projects in industry based laboratory set up like PACE Ltd.

The impart in depth knowledge of Communication Engineering Theory and Practice sessions by exposing them to various fields like optical Network, Signal processing(Basic and Advanced),High Performance Networks, Advanced Radiation Systems, Digital Communication, etc.,it provides the theoretical basis of communication through Probability Theory and Random Process. And train the students in the laboratories on the design and implementation of communication subsystems based on DSP, Wireless Communication, Antenna Design and Optical Network. and provides hands-on sessions to use software tools like OPNET, IE3D and Fidelity for RF/ wireless antenna design, RFID antenna, Filters, etc., AWR Microwave office, etc. The latest trends in the field of study through seminars and assignments based on research papers and new techniques like 3G, 4G, etc. To prepare professionals with advanced knowledge of their respective field so that they can serve the industry and R&D organisations and can take up an academic careers, and pursue further studies.

Train the graduates for attaining leadership in developing and applying technology for the betterment of society and sustaining the world environment.
